The XIV international construction exhibition took place from 15 till 17 March in Kaliningrad traditionally on the eve of the seasonal increase of the building activity.
Together with the other 198 exhibitors the OOO Lesobalt participated in this important event for our city by mounting an exhibition stand with the samples of our main and subsidiary products.
Large window and furniture producers could examine the well known laminated scantlings of different types and sections, edge glued panels for furniture, steps and window sill production, check the gluing quality and get convinced through the strength performance of the products.
Also private persons, neat-handed tinkerers, young families and everyone, who likes to environ oneself with an interior from a warm, natural material and approaches this with fantasy, showed a poignant interest to these products intended actually for the wholesale customers, because the products of OOO Lesobalt could convince them with their assortment, quality and price.
The visitors of our stand expressed also a significant interest in profiled boards and garden furniture. Although such furniture was offered for sale, the level of supply was low. This suggests developing this segment for the local customer. The potential clients also expressed the ideas about producing wall beams, rafters etc.
Furthermore we have negotiated with the companies interested in acquisition of large amounts of our residuals – sawdust and chips, which are a valuable raw material for the consequent processing.
The attention to the mount of the OOO Lesobalt has not jaded during all the three exhibition days, which is itself positive and stimulates us for a further fruitful work.
By the way, our exhibition stand was awarded with diplomas of the Kaliningrad Region Government and the Kaliningrad chamber of commerce and industry.

26th of February
OOO Lesobalt accepted an invitation of the Kaliningrad Region Government and took part on 26-28th of February in the “Days of Kaliningrad Region” in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.

Our exhibition stand was not deprived of attention and we could present the interested persons our main products (window scantling and edge glued panels) and subsidiary products (coniferous chips and sawdust).
Our guests, who visited our mount, were not only our Lithuanian partners, with whom we cooperate fruitful already, but also several new perspective firms and the officials from the delegation of the Kaliningrad Region Government.
The industry minister of Kaliningrad region, Nikolai Vlasenko expressed his satisfaction concerning the development of such a big wood-processing plant as Lesobalt on the Kaliningrad’s territory.
It was also a pleasure for us to hear an appreciation of our work and good wishes from the former governor of the Kaliningrad region Mr. Egorov V. G. He was always aware of the work progress and lent every possible support the management during the construction phase, which appeared to be surprisingly short.
The practical result of our participation in the exhibition are several contacts with new partners.

The representatives of the Russian-German-Polish friendship society with their head Mrs. Marlis Weitzmann visited our plant.
“I’ve never seen such a production culture on a Russian firm. I wish you success and good luck!” – concluded Mrs Weitzmann after the visit.

Our plant was visited by a group of representatives of the city Liepaja (Latvia), which included:

We are a stable and constant supplier of the furniture makers, who produce for the Swedish concern IKEA.

The representatives of the Swedish concern IKEA visited our plant among the members of the European Parliament delegations.

25th August 2005
The OOO Lesobalt and the Esterer WD GmbH have signed a protocol concerning the yielding of the plan capacity (300 000 m? round wood per annum) of the Lesobalt’s sawmill. The technology of the wood sawing shop floor including band mills and end milling chipping headrigs allows to process the logs up to 60 cm. in diameter, getting predominantly the radial-cut and semi radial-cut lumber.

The investment volume amounted to 8,5 million Euros.
